That looks very good (both the program and the environment - and an improvement over the 80's BASICs), though I prefer the qbasic choice of labels instead of line numbers.
A fascinating teaching transition would be to have the current BASIC program "disappear" all the unused line numbers. Then, allow a line number to be "rename refactored". It would show the leaps towards both simplification and abstraction.
