When your tweets are seen by a sufficiently large number of people, Twitter becomes an amazingly powerful Mechanical Turk for answering the question "What are all the ways this statement could be misrepresented?"

Precision is not enough unfortunately. Precise statements can be misrepresented. What you have to do to make a statement difficult to misrepresent is much more complicated. Maybe one day I'll write about this, since I have (unwillingly) become an expert in it.

You may not be able to express ideas that are a sufficient combination of (a) subtle and (b) controversial. But you can express many ideas. I only get burned once every couple weeks.
