11 yo and his friends are always coming up with ideas for beating the system. I told him that the really big money is not in little tricks like that, but in making things that help people.

Interestingly, the naive belief that money is made primarily by beating the system is shared both by people who are eager to do it, and by people whose ideology is based on opposing it. The difference is that many of the former eventually learn they're mistaken.

It’s the perception of exhaust and useless capital that motivates the “they cheated” sentiment. Often heard since around 1990ish that the world is “awash” with capital. That’s why interest is so low. The commons are monetized. That’s the tweet idea. Right or wrong.
