It's the hardest part of dealing with any exponential curve long-term problem. If you succeed people will always say "See, it was never really a problem, we did all that for nothing." And the only reason they'll be able to say that is because WE DID ALL that.

Not so sure how plain it will be. For instance: Utah's COVID-19 death rate has yet to hit 0.9% while NY's rate is now 7%. What explains the huge, huge difference?

Agreed. The only way to properly prepare, is to take a stance 3-4 notches about what you think is worst case scenario, so you're prepped in case. It's like Trump criticizing Cuomo for the javits center not being filled.
