If it turns out that the coronavirus did escape from a lab in Wuhan, Twitter is going to owe ZeroHedge an apology for automatically flagging every link to their site. In fact they probably already do.pic.twitter.com/BIfpOl3RPP

That just means its a possibility, which it always was, but without conclusive evidence from the IC it remains just that, a possibility.
The full quote is "And I would just say, at this point, it's inconclusive. Although the weight of evidence seems to indicate 'natural.' But we don't know for certain." Quoting out of context is not doing a service to truth here.
That doesn't change anything. If anything it reinforces my point. If he's willing to say no more than "the weight of evidence seems to indicate" x, it's clear that he still considers ~x is a significant possibility.
I bet The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff doesn't have a biology degree or any other scientific education
Using Zero Hedge for the hill to die on with this is a bit strange.
I heard a leading US academic researcher in this field, who seemed very credible, on a podcast by @jaltucher say that he had seen the RNA genetic code and it didn't show any of the signs one would expect from lab-synthesized RNA.
Yes, the doctor was Peter Openshaw from Imperial. He worked on SARS and MERS as well. Said that when he looked at the RNA/DNA he said it would be impossible for this to be man-made (no insertions). But, nobody can rule out it was naturally bred in lab, etc.
They also said there were Weapons of Mass destruction in Iraq
I don’t believe anything they say
It's just a coincidence the virus broke out near the lab studying these viruses in a country the size of China.
