And waiting until general public acceptance of incoming flight restrictions would have quadrupled it.

At that point we are at low end of annual flu deaths. What is cost per week of intervention.
-
Your family clearly has not been affected by the virus, and you should thank God for it. Now if it was one of your loved ones, just how much money per week of intervention is enough to wait one more week to intervene.

Only considering this ends the virus, which it won't. Flattening equals slowing down, not less infections total. Either herd immunity happens or we all wait it out for a vaccine. One nuance: there will be improvements in handling the disease, so IFR will decrease over time.

I wonder if this is any more accurate than all the other
#WuhanCoronaVirus predictions since falsified by what actually happened. Of course, this one can't be falsified as it makes assumptions about past that can't be tested (which is not to say it therefore necessarily false) -
It's a very weird chart. And a very weird claim. The point of suppression is *not* that it prevents most deaths - it delays them so that marginal cases that can survive with medical treatment, but not without, can do so..
