Patrick says http://fastgrants.org has received a lot of good applications. It will be interesting to see if making decisions in 48 hours based on a 30-minute application yields worse research than the current excruciating grant application process. I bet it doesn't.

Maybe because they or their institution hasn’t realized it’s a problem yet. Issue apparently is some sort of interaction with NIH rules - sounds to me like some sort of most favored nation type clause is the issue

Issue is that it's not up to the PI or even the Institution - I believe has to do with their negotiated indirect rate with NIH.
