I am curious to know what you think of DuckDuckGo as a service. As the OP mentioned, I find it slow and very difficult to get relevant results.
It's not as good as Google, but it's good enough for most searches.

Type !g along w search term into DuckDuckGo search box and you’ll get google results w duck duck go’s privacy, so can easily switch back and forth
