Here's another option that may be even better: http://startpage.com . It delivers actual Google search results, but without any of the extra crap on the page. In other words, it's like what Google used to be.

You can. Just use one Chrome profile for logged in apps and one for logged out activity.

Been using Firefox containers for a few months now. My search are all non authenticated while my Gmail (personal/work) are working as expected and well isolated. Love the philosophy of DuckDuckGo by the results I got are poorer. Happy to share more on this.
