It wouldn't prove causality at all. If these SNPs were correlated with race and not intelligence, and racism made it more difficult to obtain a degree, then you would see these same results as well. You might just be showing racism.

Suspicious that they don't mention results for the three other fifths, and the gap between 57% and 12% isn't even that significant.
