Something I taught my 11 yo today: Some amount of programming consists of copying and pasting lines you've already written, and then changing a few parameters. But the better the language, the less of this you do.

I read the notes about bel. I am further spurred on to continuing developing a data engineering / management scripting language called WRANDL. It's a little more microscopic than a programming language but provides stimulation and helps solve some pain points around data auditing
