Something I taught my 11 yo today: Some amount of programming consists of copying and pasting lines you've already written, and then changing a few parameters. But the better the language, the less of this you do.

Rails is a good example. We take it for granted, but rails g is extremely, extremely powerful when you take in mind it saves you at least a minute per command. A minute you can spend doing other things for your business
