Has anyone considered just asking the governments of Taiwan and Singapore and South Korea what they'd do in our place? Not doing so implies we think we know something that they don't. If so, what is it?

Even if Government replicates the same, I guess it's more to do with the culture of the population. Those two countries would be culturally so different from the US or European counterparts. So not very sure if anything would work out

Masks mandatory, Infrared auto fever detection in all major transportation hubs, caning the buttcheeks of those who violate quarantine laws (the Singapore special)

I thought masks were not mandatory is Singapore. And in S Korea, businesses can mandate customers wear masks (no mask no entry), but not top-down mandatory everywhere.

Some measures may not be applicable due to cultural differences and barriers but this conversation must be had regardless. There’s always something to learn. Germany has done a remarkable job with detection through mass testing also.

Which suggests that we do assume we know something others don't: That all successful measures around the world so far have been due to strict quarantine measures. Both pro quarantine and anti quarantine people believe this to be true.
