You have to create an account just to zoom in on an image? That is a new level of bad UI.
Not quite. Having an account opens up other functionality, and we needed it to be able to record info to report back to our funders. Not ideal, but a simple enough solution under the circs. Probably much better ways to do it now, but the initial site development was in 2011/12!
