I've signed up for more newspaper subscriptions in the last few days than in my entire life, because how could you not sign up for a newspaper reporting the most likely future.

I feel like we should talk about that preference someday when this is over because I shared it and am now updating very sharply against both the specific belief and also my previous impression of the general societal value of journalism. (I am aware this is not the zeitgeist.)

Journalism is not lindy - especially the one engaged in by Ivy League educated journos envious of classmates who make more money. I prefer rumours, broader portfolio of interpretations from a more (neuro)diverse set of sources, based on a wider variety of facts.
