@paulg why can’t / hasn’t slack replaced email? What can replace email?

What would optimal to-do list management look like for you? What’s painful about managing to-dos now?
-
I'll tell you what's painful: Trying to manage a dozen to-do list apps between clients. And, also calendars.

My user research found that Slack breaks down for roles with lots of ad hoc external collaboration. Salespeople & marketers working short-term interactions aren't going to add external partners to a channel; email sticks around because it's the only truly universal comms channel

@saullevin Shift is doing a good job of "replacing" plain email, by building on top of it & providing the best of both worlds:https://tryshift.com/

Paul, but how would brand it? You can’t brand it as email, nor as a to do list.

You forgot to add the end to the second answer: "A todo-list manager THAT ANYBODY WITH YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION CAN ADD TO"
