If we need more doctors and nurses, how about offering a green card to any foreign-qualified medical personnel already in the US who are accepted by a US hospital to help with the emergency?

.. If they voluntarily want to come to country X, and you stop making it hard - is that still stealing? That's what immigration / emigration flow is. That's what countries have to manage, too.

If they are risking their lives fighting coronavirus, that's the least the US could do

This is a great suggestion for POTUS to get eaten alive by his own base. While it would thrill me to see Stephen Miller tender his immediate resignation the first time anyone from a Middle Eastern, African, or Lat-Am country gets a green card, this will never be a thing with 45.

Yep! They should be able to do it now with the National Interest Waiver for an EB-2 (green card application). However, they turned off premium processing for these as of March 20 🙈.

ok. this would be like medics staff mercenaries. come fight the US war against #corona 🦠 now and get a green card. leave the war in the place you are in now. 🤷‍♂️

Why does it seem that no one noticed the “already in the US” part of the original tweet? 🤔
