Investors: If you think it's ok to reneg on handshake deals with startups during an epidemic, it's ok for startups to reneg on handshake deals with you when there's no epidemic. Deal?

Do you think applying to startups right now is a stable move?

You mean applying for a job? Depends on the startup. Applying to Zoom would be a very stable move.

A recently-funded/ capitalized growth startup, IMO, is one of the best jobs out there (w/ the caveat that any new hire is likely risking first-in-first-out problem). They have burn rates that they can crank up or down and are less sensitive to market vicissitudes than large corps

What is the usual threshold when a startup stop being a startup? Time? Revenue? IPO?

Graham always says that a startup is a company that is designed to grow fast. Perhaps, the threshold is that their growth isn't as fast?

Is Zoom a startup? It's a publicly traded, profitable, 9 year old company. Or is this the definition of startup that includes any tech company that isn't FAANG?
