I don't think any of the specific collaborations I'm thinking about would be harmed by that. They're mostly between groups with specific complementary expertise or resources, working to solve a specific problem.

I agree if you're talking about most of the collaborations at http://HelpwithCovid.com , especially science-side. I'm thinking about wider range of stuff we do to help each other and to coordinate assistance for hardship. Private is too small. Public too big. (And why r u awake?)
