A bit skeptical about this. Looks like a way to gain publicity and also condition people to assume that they do in fact own an enforceable patent on the tech....Which they could use in future against other types of diagnostics.

It's just a vague concept, not an actual medical device. Point-of-care diagnostics is not a new idea. There's nothing unique there.
