Good to see that they should recover by doing cardiovascular exercise. I wonder, how different this is from other kind of severe lung infections, which also deteriorate the capacity for few weeks afterwards.

According to this study, the virus doesn't seem to survive in the air for very long. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/fullarticle/2762692 … Room #1 was filled with highly infectious surfaces, exchanging air with room #2. But room #2 came back negative. The fan connecting room #2 was positive.

I've been toying with an idea to keep yourself safe from the virus: a double filter. Basically a long mask that has a filter on both ends. The outer mask would insulate you from cough droplets, keeping it away from your face. The hard part is "How do you take it off?"

Too early to really tell, but severe pneumonia (ARDS) often has permanent damage. In the short term, you would expect people recovering from serious illness would have worse lung function and cardiovascular fitness.

Love your work but this paper is so anecdotal. It may be true but when information is being amplified by the loudest voices (or most followers) it’s best to share papers that have strong scientific evidence when we are confident in their findings.

He's sharing it to show the possible effects of the virus 2 warn others who are not taking it seriously, by not social distancing and saying do not panic. Sure this may be preliminary but, PG is rly good at guessing unconfirmed things that turn out 2 be true ( skill not luck imo)

Not surprising. Common with pneumonia.
