A friend pointed out that one reason the coronavirus death rate in Italy is so high is that the population is so old. 21.7% are 65 or over, vs 14.6% in South Korea.

In Italy its so rare for young adults to feel they have the means for having kids as long term job contracts are rare thing
-
Surely long-term job contracts are not more common in Nigeria?

Italy needs a higher birth rate , Nigeria needs to lower their birth rate. Both are a symptom of so many of their issues
-
Although, the high birthrate is an issue in Nigeria, we are more concerned about the choking issues we are facing right now. We can cry over birthrate tomorrow if we survive today.

it's early to have a correct fatality rate estimate here in Italy I guess, but I doubt African countries run same number of tests we are doing here - I don't even know if they're testing at all. It's convenient for bad governments to declassify COVID-19 deaths to other causes

Unless we find a way to inflate the planet indefinitely, Italy is the model to follow, not Nigeria.

Lol 5.53, those are rookie numbers. Mali is 7. I'm not sure Nigeria breaks into the top 5 fertility rates actually...
