A few days ago our 11 yo used "begs the question" to mean raises the question. I'm ok with a certain amount of bad language, but this is across the line.

I think its terrible design to use the phrase "begs the question" to mean anything else. Listen to your customers Paul Graham. Use the meaning people want.
