Sounds smart, but it is a bit more complex than that, everyone has access to the BBC in the UK yet there is still this problem. I think what happens is that fake news tends to be presented with more certainty whilst with real news there are a lot of ifs buts and maybes.

And people tend to equate certainty with accuracy, and consider self doubt to be untrustworthy. If we can change that somehow, maybe people will stop trusting free and fake news.
