You can still push. Pushing + pumping gets extra height. And pushing is more about conversation than propulsion anyway. I always pushed from the front for that reason.

also: rocket, run from behind and push as hard as you can one time (with dramatic countdown). time stop: freeze and hold in the air then release. Lots of fun variants to be had!

you can never push much but if you want to make sure just push until they do a 360 turn and then stop pushing :D
