Apart from the essays in the "Hackers & Painters" book, I particularly liked "The Refragmentation", which was super well researched. Any plans for a similar essay in the near future?
Thanks! "The Refragmentation" was more like a short book. It took 3 months to write. I don't have any specific plans for another one on that scale, but that doesn't mean anything, because I didn't plan to write that one.

@paulg. An extended historical perspective pre ww2 might have included the primary role of religion (and later/to a lesser degree, the nation state) as defragmenting forces. Interestingly, both faith & nationalism are now flourishing, cultural lifeboats of sorts -
