I certainly wouldn't advise against getting married. That shouldn't harm a startup. It might be hard to have kids in the very earliest phase of a startup, when everything is just the founders, but it depends on so many things, like your spouse, your cofounders, what the co does.

Works well when each partner respects the other’s core competencies, and there is no overlap in tasks. Arguing will happen but like any row, should result in forward-looking measures (what did we learn.) Rules to stop talking about work at home are useful too.
