I certainly wouldn't advise against getting married. That shouldn't harm a startup. It might be hard to have kids in the very earliest phase of a startup, when everything is just the founders, but it depends on so many things, like your spouse, your cofounders, what the co does.

I would have missed a $60B opportunity if I didn't have young kids when I started my company, so... no, it's fine. It helps if your spouse isn't a total loser. Also, child care exists. (See http://winnie.com for more about this amazing service!)
