That’s way too broad of a statement. There’s a where clause - less tolerant of free speech where free speech is mostly intolerant speech of other groups. Not picking a side here - but there’s definitely nuance.

graham is a capitalist ideologue and he doesn’t care. he just wants to resist any challenge to his capital, and therefor his assumed authority

Paul, this is a poll of 1000 students (mix of self identified liberals, moderates, and conservatives), not even statistically relevant to make such a generalization. You would totally disregard a statement about conservatives that was based on a poll so small.
-
And yet, he will. Liberals are definitely less tolerant of racism, sexism and other bigotry. And giving platforms for those ideas will be protested. Where the line is between free speech and bigotry is difficult to be sure

Of course, the thing we must be intolerant of is intolerance. Perhaps conservatives are more comfortable with speakers advocating intolerance of outgroups? It's certainly in the air, and populist politics reflects it, especially here in the UK.

The speeches from the right are more likely to promote intolerance So the left is intolerant of intolerant speeches
