I started because I wanted to make a website. But I’m pretty sure a good majority do it for games.

I started programming to write games. I started web development little later to... write a website about a game. :-)

The rest just want to hack into some system. Most likely school systems.

Didn't hack but played prank on teachers in AV room(audio/visual). Wrote those 1 liner shutdown scripts, and replaced icon with Chrome icon. Teacher takes whole class to AV room, tries to open a browser to show "educational" vids, system shuts down, whole class goes OOO
