This thread is worth reading. It's better than most popular books about ideas, and much shorter.https://twitter.com/G_S_Bhogal/status/1225561131122597896 …

MEGATHREAD TIME: In 40 tweets I will describe 40 powerful concepts for understanding the world. Some are complex so forgive me for oversimplifying, but the main purpose is to incite curiosity. Okay, here we go:

This thread is great! On emergence, drew this earlier on “N-Order Emergent Products”, which explains at least to me that this is how great tech firms are being built. “What can it emerge into” if it dominates it’s niche (and so on) is worth thinking about https://twitter.com/varun_mathur/status/1194022753243992064?s=21 …https://twitter.com/varun_mathur/status/1194022753243992064 …

N-Order Emergent Products and the Arc of Innovation To get to the Nth product state, there isn’t a direct path. The path to get there is a function of the “emergent product”, which is a result of its components. Each Nth state here is a 10x multiple in valuation at least pic.twitter.com/xrkzfsurFB

I wonder if there’s a chrome plugin for emotive conjugation to replace all vocabs into neurtral language on online media.

Learning illusion: Twitter threads make you think you learned something while you actually did not. Short snippets that start with some name give you enough dopamine to avoid actually thinking hard about concept. Therefore this thread is bad. I'm oversimplifying so forgive me.

No, you nailed it. It's full of obvious bits of common sense, dressed up with scholarly sounding labels.
