Yes... but it should be the most damning evidence of incompetence of all. How can anyone ignore this, even if you agree with his policies? ~40% of the country support him - they aren’t all irrational, there are many reasonable people in there that can be convinced

He is unprecedentedly bad, I agree. I think the ration subset of that 40% support him because they hate the Democrats so deeply that even Trump seems better.
