I love it when people tell me a startup idea that goes against most current trends.

A search engine that doesn't search. You buy keywords using bitcoin. No need for domain names. No expensive tech like ML to build/maintain. No need for SEO nonsense. No surveillance / ad model. You see what is likely to result in a donation or purchase.
Interesting if you can get it started. Maybe you start it on some very hot subset of searches, then gradually broaden. If you can even think of a subset of searches this works for, the expected value is huge. The bitcoin seems gratuitous though. Who cares how advertisers pay?

Possibly the initial subset of searches is so specific that it doesn't even seem like you're in the search business. You're just some specialized app for something. Anything to get started.

I have this idea for a whistleblowing/snitching app for Africa "Bounty hunters" where people can exchange valuable information on wanted people for bitcoin. That way the whistleblower's identity stays unknown. But my friends say I'll get killed in no time lol

Bitcoin would let people pay anonymously (this is a niche that I think is underserved as it is hard to register a domain name or do an ad spend without providing identity - but not sure its big enough to help bootstrap it).
