I've never worked for a big co. But my understanding is they like to instrument the company. I wonder about adding metrics like "fraction of time spent in meetings", and trying to drive it down as a major goal.

I’ve been tempted to track my daily meeting/workday ratio since joining a BigCo. Also useful: number of contiguous blocks of non-meeting time say two hours or longer per week.
