I’m curious if high tax also correlates strongly to high cost of living, and what people are leaving is HCOL and not high taxes. Article might say it but I don’t have a WSJ subscription.

The people fleeing first our usually ones who can afford it, tax whales. It strains local services & places an upper limit on federal, local & state taxation before triggering unintended consequences of capital flight. Big tax politicians are in willful denial of this.
