Same thing here. People follow me and then Twitter silently makes them ‘unfollow’ me. Worse is when someone ‘likes’ a pinned Tweet about my books. Twitter then ‘unlikes’ it for them. I'd bet it is likely some rogue employee too, but that would raise almost as many questions if such a thing is possible without any oversight. If such a feature exists, it should have a very detailed audit trail backing it and anyone misusing it should be held accountable.

Sounds very similar to Reddit's 'shadowbanning' system they have in place against bots; wouldn't be surprised if Twitter implemented something similar
