What, just because the flights are shorter? It seems pretty bogus to say someone flying from Tokyo to LA is doing "damage more quickly" on the grounds that the flight time is 5 hours instead of 9.

If you look at current international business class passengers, it's mostly corporate employees, not "rich people." And the number of trips they take is limited by cost (which won't change), not flight time. You're stretching to find a reason to hate this co. You must see that.

Well, if it's 9 hours, people might think it's too long and not go on the flight. But for 5 hours they might go anyway. Which means more travel. Even if the l/km stays constant. Pro tip : offset all your carbon emissions like Microsoft : negative in '30, zeroed out in' 50.
