Probably new startups (can even be non-profits) providing healthcare and unemployment insurance to freelancers by charging their employers will come and replace such legacy organizations. Basically, by actually serving the end goals of why collective bargaining is required.

I'm fairly anti-union but I wouldn't be so sure of this. Although membership is down, there's a bizarre wellspring of public support for more unionization by those who feel "left behind". And 30 years is less than half of the 70 it's already been. Maybe depends on next election

Uber & Lyft are too centralized to avoid regulation. Similar to the factories in the Industrial Age. Too easy to shut down via worker strikes. Uber and Lyft should break themselves up into smaller corporations

I find it unfortunate that many of the freelancers who are far left themselves won’t self-reflect. I’m seeing less realizations that AB5 is bad and more requests for carve-outs.
