What has your work taught you that other people don't realize?

Is it that you’ve observed people who created billion dollar companies didn’t “set out to create a billion dollar company”, and the outcome was merely a side effect? Or have you observed most people are better suited building non-venture-backed businesses? (Or both?)
What I meant is simply that most people are not suited to starting a startup.

Are you suggesting that big ideas are not necessary to build a successful business (which i think) or that most people fail because their ideas are not big?
