Is the threshold for having fanboys the same as the threshold for having haters? My impression is that I have the former but not the latter, and I'm not completely convinced that this is unusual in the middle of the spectrum.
Usually haters are rarer, which in practice means the threshold is higher.

That’s really a cultural thing. I was (still?) quite famous in Russia and I got much more haters than fanboys almost instantly. Some generations are more prone to be haters, some are much less. In USA everything is opposite for me.
