The "Right to Repair" should be a god-given human right. To fix inequality, we must distribute production and stop this march towards monopolization of the production. I get it that 'recurring revenue' is a good business model, but it goes against sustainability.

Yeah, but that is an unstable equilibrium. A bad actor ignoring Right to Repair will always win over conforming ones.

Electric vehicles are mechanically simpler, which means cheaper and more reliable despite the occasional reboot, software corruption and, I'm sure, built-in tracking/data monetization which will allow them to be sold below cost. Bleak future.
