God, I forget how awful r/cscareerquestions is. OP was asking what to do bc he’s been working retail/food industry jobs since graduating four years ago to afford rent and food bc they can’t find work in tech.

Reddit is getting really bad in general. The upvoting concept makes readers usually see a dominant one sided belief. Eg politics (2016 election), memes (adviceanimals/dank memes), or career help (cscareerquestions). There’s always this one sidedness to it that’s usually wrong.

That kind of psychology is dangerous. It can screw people up. I’ve had to block most of Reddit on my computer and get therapy after being in the thick of that mess for years.
