There is little more dangerous to founders than accepting “conventional wisdom”. When you’re changing way things are done, convention is the enemy. Instead, dig to the foundation. To first principles. Find those dots + connect them up in new ways. Therein lies breakthrough.
The way to do it is to make users happy, and don't worry if you thereby do something that's against the conventional wisdom. But it all starts with users.
