Interesting pre - 1970 more success Probably because labour was cheaper and possibly because the gold standard was still in effect. Prevented fiat currency runaway ie tangible reference

Some of these projects have massive technical debt caused by the breakneck speed at which they were pushed out. I'm not sure everyone still maintaining those projects today are so excited with how quickly they were put together originally!

Laughing about how fed up @patrickc must have been on/criss-crossing Van Ness one day to compile all of this research. I hope there was relief in publication :) 100% agree the bus lane project taking 20 yrs, literally, is a sick joke.
