I'd expect them to be almost entirely safe. Them you're just paying for a service.

Hmmm... I'm a bit anxious for using Firebase from GCP. It's deep in our stack and we're locked in to Google because it's proprietary. Bad idea?

How big is the cost? (e.g. Cost of removal or replacement, etc). Firebase seems to have a good track record of being... There. Google has a good track record of jumping ship on products. I wouldn't call it a bad or good idea - it's a (business) decision. It has consequences.
