They may not feel college education is important, but most employers still do. Not everyone should be an entrepreneur. Yes, you can self educate, but unless you are a technologist/developer, you will find it difficult to land a well paying job without an education.

It’s quite a privilege to be able to hope for a well paying job in this day and age where the many of them are likely to work in the gig economy, Walmart or similar positions that they’re massively overqualified for with their degrees.

Bootcamps and the proliferation of online courses means this will only continue. Hence the popularity of

Can’t say names but I know someone who was earning $15 an hour at a retail store and now makes six figures coding because they did a 6 month boot camp coding course. Imagine spending 4 years and $100K to make $45k a year for the rest of your life. Not me yo!
