It's a great way to communicate. Forking the thread, adding your piece, and exposing to a new follower base. This may be a case of the human fallacy to over remember the negative.

I think I remember the time when RT-with-comment tweets were wholesome, back when it required manual entry of the quoted tweet. Was it because they were harder to do?
