maybe! my suspicion is that “outrage” here encompasses both appropriate sensitivity to injustice and hypersensitivity. getting that balance right requires calibration, which means we’re likely to pass thru periods of overshooting and undershooting the target level of outrage

The addiction to the emotion itself is the problem. Once those chemicals start sparking in your brain one can't think clearly, decide the verity of the cause. "Outrage Culture" is a menace to real change.
