More startups have a chance of becoming really big than their founders realize (or want to admit to themselves). The reason for this apparent paradox is that it would take an enormous amount of work.

This reminds me of how when you design things you can’t build, your imagination feels a bit more free since you aren’t constrained by ability.

Conversely, when you build things without designing them first... it can feel quite surprising to see how you can do things you didn’t think possible since the act of building is tied to the act of discovery.

Because the hardest work for a founder is doing things that don't scale and therefore has limited opportunities apply leverage. That is the stuff that takes 12 hour days, 7 days a week.
