Writing this made me even more confident about Lambda School. You've not only fixed tests, but admissions as well. And in your case being for-profit actually helps, because you lose money if you pick wrong (or teach badly).

When a startup decides how they’ll make money they are deciding on the test for if they’ve solved their users’ problems. Lambda choosing to not get paid til their students get jobs is choosing a brilliantly unhackable test for themselves.

Question I’m trying to answer: What system could we use to make a K-12 school’s success the least hackable? Charging tuition upfront is very hackable, but making profit conditional on success is tricky because of the many and varying goals of K-12 education.
